Library Offers Free Seed Packets

The Copiague Memorial Public Library is making its seed library available Tuesday, September 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Adults may stop at the Information Desk to check out up to five packets of organic, non-GMO vegetable and flower seeds. The program takes place in the Adult Room at the library, 50 Deauville Blvd. The calendar lists registration as required, so residents should check with the library before arriving if they need assistance completing the registration step. This is a practical opportunity for local gardeners to pick up seeds for the current growing season.
