Residents Can Dispose Of Medications

The Copiague Memorial Public Library will host Shed the Meds on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Representatives from the Suffolk County Police Department's First Precinct will be at the library to collect unused or expired medications for safe disposal. The program is open to everyone and will take place in the lobby at 50 Deauville Blvd. Residents can bring unwanted medications for drop-off during the event. The program is intended to provide a safe disposal option that helps protect homes, the community, and local waterways.
