Half Hollow Hills Schools Closed

The Half Hollow Hills Central School District calendar marks Monday, October 12, 2026, as Columbus Day and lists 21 student attendance days for October, one fewer than the month's 22 weekdays. Families in Dix Hills should plan around the district's scheduled holiday and confirm any school, transportation or child-care arrangements in advance. The approved calendar also notes that the Board of Education may revise the schedule if emergency closings later require additional attendance days.
