Port Jefferson Free Library's Dump The Junk collection is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at 100 Thompson Street. Residents can bring unused or expired medications, accepted electronics, and personal documents for on-site shredding. Liquid medications and sharps are not accepted. Electronics exclusions include large appliances, microwave ovens, fluorescent bulbs, and alkaline batteries. Shredding materials must exclude binders, plastic, cardboard, and carbon paper.
