Children Can Make Sand Seashell Octopuses

Children in grades 4 through 6 can create a sand and seashell relief octopus from 11:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 8, at the Jericho Public Library, 1 Merry Lane. The hands-on workshop uses a non-toxic, mess-free process that does not require glue, resin, or firing. Registration is required, and the program will be held in the meeting room. Families should reserve a place in advance through the library's events calendar and arrive on time so participants can complete the project during the scheduled hour.
